Multidisciplinary Team

The Gateway Center facilitates a multidisciplinary team which meets each month to assess the abuse reports, determine the best course of action, and provide support for that action.

This team consists of representatives from:

• Forensic Interviewers
• The Sheriff Offices and Police Departments
• Division of Family and Children Services
• Department of Mental Health
• School System Social Workers
• Victim and Family Advocates
• Department of Juvenile Justice
• County Health Departments
• Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
• The District Attorney’s Office

Every child that has been through the Gateway Center’s system is followed up on to ensure that no child has fallen through the cracks.
