How can I help The Gateway Center?

The Gateway Center takes monetary donations as well as items such as the ones listed below:

  • Children’s clothing (plain t-shirts; sweatpants; underwear)
  • Adult Clothing (plain t-shirts; sweatpants; underwear)
  • Non-perishable food items (water; snacks)

What do I do if I suspect abuse of a child?

If you suspect the presence of child abuse, please call 911 immediately! Local law enforcement will reach out to the Division of Family and Children Services and The Gateway Center to get the child the help needed.

Another resource for information about how and where to file a report of suspected child abuse or neglect is the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline. Childhelp can be reached 7 days a week, 24-hours a day, at its toll-free number, 1.800.4-A-CHILD (1.800.422.4453).

How do my donations help?

Your financial donations to The Gateway Center will go towards funding more direct services and obtaining better resources for victims and families experiencing trauma and abuse.

Do you offer training?

Currently, The Gateway Center does not offer volunteer training. However, if your organization is interested in learning about the culture of trauma and violence in the home or in the workplace please contact our Outreach Coordinator.
